Wyoming supports math educators through state-adopted professional development (PD). To strengthen this commitment, the state could require math PD for all K-8 educators with evidence-based pedagogy, intentionally embedding all 4 Strands of Mathematical Proficiency.

4 Strands of Math Proficiency
To become proficient in math, students need to develop mathematical proficiency which is a combination of real-world problem-solving skills, procedural fluency, conceptual understanding, and productive dispositions.
